Alice Coyle: Never say die, or expire

Clip and save.

That's the directive for those who pull the coupons from their newspaper's innards each week.

I am not one of them.

I work in the newspaper biz and constantly have copies of our weekly publications piled on my desk and spread over the back seat of my car. But it is with some degree of chagrin that I admit to dumping the various supermarket circulars and inserted advertisements - including the coupons - before I pore over the latest edition of the paper.

I don't clip. I rarely save.
