High-end havens: What $1 million buys on the Lower Cape

Remember when $1 million seemed like a lot of money?

To most people it still does, but real estate agents on the Lower Cape say they continue to see robust sales activity in the high-end market, meaning homes in the $1 million to $3 million range.

"A million dollars really is the standard number today," said real estate agent Sandra Tanco, of Kinlin Grover's Harwich Port office. "You no longer get waterfront for that much in Harwich Port or Chatham, but you will get 'walk to water' and you might get 'deeded beach rights,'" she said. "I have a listing right now, for $950,000, that has 'peeks' of the water," Tanco added.
