OBITUARY: Larry Thomas Haney

Larry Thomas Haney, 62 of Elizabethtown, passed away at his home 4:28 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014.

He was born on Sept. 25, 1951, in Grayville, the son of Thomas Elmer and Lucille Laura (Lewis) Haney. Larry was a retired deep tunnel construction worker in Chicago and Milwaukee. He also worked in the Fluorspar mines in Hardin County. December 13, 1991, he married Deborah Ann Suttley who survives. Larry is also survived by two daughters, Tracy Rose and Brent Clark of Paducah, Ky., Kimberly Lynn Haney, also of Paducah, Ky.; and a brother, Jerry and Kathy Haney of Elizabethtown; and a sister, Lynda Warren of Spokane, Wash.; four grandchildren, Bradley, C.J., Alexis and Hannah; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard and Sidney Dale Haney.

Visitation for Larry will be held 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014, with the Rev. Harold Miller officiating.
