Cubs notebook: Floyd nearly ready to return

Cliff Floyd was placed on the restricted list Sunday, but look for him to return to the roster Tuesday.

The former Thornwood High School standout was on the Major League Baseball bereavement list from Sunday through Saturday because his father, Cornelius, died last Sunday. His father's services were Saturday, the final day he was allowed to be on the bereavement list.
