Hurricane Bridge checks out; another bridge similar to I-35W to get checkup

Now that the Hurricane Deck bridge has received a thumbs-up from state inspectors who scoured the structure for signs of significant damage, the next step will be to concentrate on another lake-area bridge.

The Osage River bridge on Route 17 is scheduled to receive a thorough inspection next month after officials identified a part of the bridge as having similar design characteristics to the one that collapsed in Minnesota last week.
