Parents of woman accused of murdering her baby charged with endangerment

The parents of an Iberia woman accused of murdering her infant son are now behind bars and face child endangerment charges for an incident that occurred several weeks before their grandson was allegedly set on fire by his mother.

On Monday, Walter Lee White Jr., 44, and Charleana Gayle White, 42, were taken into custody following an investigation into a June 23 incident at their home in Iberia. The Whites were each charged with one felony and two misdemeanor counts of child endangerment.
