We spent a day in the Amish-Mennonite region of Holmes County. I must say the travel brochures are a little different than the reality.

Yes, there are wonderful vistas of farms, haystacks, horse-drawn buggies and plenty of evidence of homespun lifestyles. There also are traffic jams, bus caravans, condo salesmen, endless gift shops and tourists everywhere.
