Sarah Virginia Adkisson

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Sarah Virginia Adkisson, 87, of Galatia, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at McLeansboro.

Services were held 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with Greg King officiating. Burial was in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation was 11 a.m. to service time Monday at the funeral home.

She was born Jan. 18, 1921, in Hamilton County to Henry Flannigan and Elva (Braden) Flannigan Tate Simmons. On Oct. 9, 1942, she married James Adkisson in McLeansboro.

She was a housewife and a member of the Liberty Church of Christ.

She is survived by two sons, Barry K. (Georgia) Adkisson of Galatia and Bruce M. (Mary) Adkisson of Thompsonville; and four grandchildren, Justin, Caleb, Holly and Lecas.
