Randall 'Randy' Jones

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Randall "Randy" Jones, 53, of Herrin, died at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at Fountain View in Eldorado.

He was born in Harrisburg on Jan. 7, 1955, the son of Derak and Allene (Stults) Jones.

Mr. Jones had retired as a forestry foreman with REA. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He loved to fish, watch sports and watch movies with his son.

Mr. Jones is survived by a son, Jamie Jones of Herrin; his parents, Derak and Allene Jones of Eldorado; two sisters, Cindy Plumlee and husband Fred of Thompsonville and Sarah Troehler and husband Scott of Springfield; three nephews, Matthew Plumlee and wife Ashley of Harrisburg, Derak Plumlee and wife Stephanie of Galatia and Jack Troehler of Springfield; a niece, Emma Jane Troehler of Springfield; two great-nieces, Hadleigh and Ansley; and a great-nephew, Zackery.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by a sister, Jamie (Jones) Neal; and by his grandparents, Delmar and Geneva Miller, Allen Stults and Raymond and Cordelia Jones.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at the Morton and Johnston Funeral Home in Benton with the Rev. Russell Stephens and the Rev. Art Watson officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery in Whittington. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. on Monday at the Morton and Johnston Funeral Home in Benton.
