Robert Gene 'Bob' Workman

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Robert Gene "Bob" Workman, 78, of Harrisburg, passed away 4:10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at his residence.

He was born March 13, 1930, in Decatur to Clarence E. Workman and Blanche Cole Workman Edwards. He was married to Mary Barnes in Moweaqua on March 5, 1944. Bob was a veteran of the Korean conflict. He worked as a technician first for Henry's Typewriter Service and for Tri-State Business Equipment, retiring in 1992. He was a member of Smart's Chapel Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mary of Harrisburg; two sons, Robert E. (Linda) Workman of Harrisburg and Wayne (Mary Ellen) Workman of Harrisburg; four daughters, Vicki and Don Haney of Harrisburg, Mary Sullivan of Evansville, Ind., Becky and Jim Milligan of Harrisburg and Phylis and Bill Parish of Harrisburg; one sister, Louise Kemmerer of Barstow, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, David Alan Workman; three daughters, Brenda Kay Workman, Dawna Sue Workman and Marsha Workman; one grandson, Michael Wayne Workman; and one brother, Clarence E. Workman.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, at the J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Workman officiating. Burial with military rites will be at Wolf Creek Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Tuesday at J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home.
