OBITUARY: Peggy J. Poole

Peggy J. Poole, 82, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014, in a Fort Worth hospital.

She was born Nov. 9, 1931, in Harrisburg to Albert and Mary Estella Poole. Peggy worked as a secretary for Whirlpool Corp., retiring after 35 years. She was a member of North Side Baptist Church, enjoyed painting pictures and reading. Although Peggy never had any children of her own, she loved and adored her nieces and nephews as if they were her children.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Sibyl Poole and Mildred Jarvis; and a brother, Ralph Poole.

She is survived by her nieces, Sandy Shelton and husband Larry of Weatherford, Linda Mofield and Helen Eshelman; great nieces and nephew, Kim Williams, Kristina "Tina" Chesnutt and husband Jeremy, Beth, LeAnn and Larry Cuzzort; great-great-nieces and -nephews, Abby, Seth, Jadon, Reece, Kailey, Laura, Matthew and Adam.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at North Side Baptist Church with Van Houser officiating. Visitation is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, Texas. Another visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Friday, May 23, 2014, at Alexander East Funeral Home, Evansville, Ind. Interment will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Cottage Grove Cemetery in Harrisburg, Illinois.
