Jamie Orr
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Jamie Orr, 32, of Louisville, Ky., passed away at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at the University of Louisville Hospital due to injuries sustained in an accident.
Jamie was born Nov. 12, 1975, the son of the Rev. Ron E. and Gail (Ewan) Orr in Eldorado.
Jamie was a 1993 graduate of Harrisburg High School, graduating in 1997 from Georgetown College in Georgetown, Ky., with a bachelor of science degree in biology and minor in chemistry. He was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. He was working as an environmental health safety officer at Graphic Packaging (Altivity) in Louisville.
In addition to his parents, Jamie is survived by one brother, Steven Orr and fiancee Catherine McCall of Washington, D.C.; aunts, Karen Potter and husband Vernon of Harrisburg, Carla Hankins and husband Ken of Galatia and Vickie Johnson and husband Lindell of Carrier Mills.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008 at the Second Baptist Church in Herrin. Dr. Jerry Ford and the Rev. David Gilley will officiate. A luncheon will be served beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the church; the family is encouraging everyone to attend. Burial will follow at the North America Cemetery in Saline County. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
