Gertrude Hamilton

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Gertrude Hamilton, 98, of Carrier Mills, died 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, at Carrier Mills Nursing Home.

She was born July 7, 1910, in Saline County to Walter R. Milburn and Ada M. (Sherfield) Milburn.

She married Dan Hamilton, who preceded her in death on May 5, 1982.

She was Church of God by faith.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Diane Bratcher and Tony Corbett of Waterford, Mich.; a sister, Esther M. Owens of Waterford, Mich.; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Christine Corbett; and grandson, Bobby Corbett Jr.

Visitation is 10 a.m. to the service time of 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. The Rev. John Black is officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
