Theresa M. Dobrinick of Scheller
Theresa M. Dobrinick, 80, of Scheller passed away at 11:05 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2017, at her home with her family by her side. <br />Theresa was born Oct. 24, 1936, in Pinckneyville, a daughter to James F. and Celeste (Hubler) Mentel. On May 30, 1956, she married Robert J "Bob" Dobrinick at St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville. Theresa was coal miner working for Consolidated Coal Company having worked there for 19 years. She was a member of St Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville. Her hobbies included gardening, painting, fishing and gambling.<br />Survivors include two sons, Charles R. (Gayla) Dobrinick of Pinckneyville and Robert "Tom" (Cindy) Dobrinick of Tempe, Ariz.; two daughters, Denise A. (Roger) Ruffino of Pinckneyville and Lori (Tom) Johnson of Tamaroa; sister Joan (Bernie) Epplin of Harrisburg; 11 grandchildren, Hanna (Josh) Rux, Alycia (Neil) Reitenbach, Sabrina Dobrinick, Abigail Dobrinick, David Popham, Samantha Popham, Amie (Bruce) Anderson, Jill (Mitch) Morson, Staci (Aaron) Glaser, Drew (Phelisha) Johnson and Kaitlyn Johnson; eight great-grandchildren and two more on the way; and special friend Ralph Rehmus.<br />She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband; one grandson, Joshua Dale Ruffino; five brothers, Charles Mentel, James Mentel, Richard Mentel, Raymond Mentel and John Robert "Bob' Mentel; and one sister, Geraldine "Gerre" Luke.<br />A private family service was held.<br />Memorial donations may be made to the Geraldine "Gerre" Luke Memorial Scholarship Fund.<br />For more information or to sign an online guest register please visit www.pyattfuneralhome.com.
