Katherine “Katie” Lampert of Shawneetown
SHAWNEETOWN – Katherine "Katie" Lampert, 63, longtime Shawneetown resident, passed on this life May 4, 2017, in Harrisburg Medical Center.
Katie, as most knew her, was born Dec. 7, 1953, in Eldorado to Robert and Ruby (Newman) Ditterline.
She loved gardening and her flowers, making crafts and watching the Cardinals baseball team. She enjoyed being around her family and was a member of Church of God.
Katie was a good person who will be missed by many.
Survivors include two daughters, Belinda Biggerstaff and Charlotte (Tracy) Johnson; four brothers, Bobby (Linda) Ditterline, Burnie (Janice) Ditterline, James (Terri) Ditterline and Ralph (Reva) Ditterline; five grandchildren, Waynetta Burpo, Connor Burpo, Robert McDermott, Richard McDermott and Amanda McDermott; three great-grandchildren, Nathan, Wesley and Madison; and ex-husband, Wayne Lampert.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Ditterline; and companion, David Lowery.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday, May 8, with the Rev. Randy Vaughn officiating. Katie was laid to rest in Hogan Cemetery. Visitation was from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
