OBITUARY: Mary Lou Sullivan

Mary Lou Sullivan, 74, resident of Harrisburg, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014, at the Saline Care Center in Harrisburg.

Mary was born Nov. 23, 1939, in Paducah, Texas, to the late Wiley Benjamin Leander and Cora Louela (Gilbert) Poe. She married Robert L. "Bob" Sullivan who survives. She was a member of the 3rd Baptist Church in Marion. Mary and her husband Bob ran several service stations in their earlier years. Prior to retirement Mary worked as a sales clerk for the Harrisburg Kmart for 22 years.

In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by four daughters, Sharri (Randy Deering) Hamilton of Harrisburg, Paula (Bradley) Hopkins of Eldorado, Tina (John) Stafford of Raleigh, Peggy (Bob) Flatt of Hardin County; a brother, Dale (Mary) Poe of Kansas; six grandchildren, Tisha (Preston), Taryn (Matthew), Brent (Annika) Hopkins, James Hamilton, Heather (Ross) Casteel, Ben Flatt; 10 great-grandchildren; Kain, December, Lena, Isiah, Connor, Blakely, Taylyn, Maryn, Austyn and Mya.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Robert "Bobby" L. Sullivan, Jr.; a sister, Chloe Ellen Brown; four brothers, Donald, Jim F., Pat, Kenny; and a granddaughter, Angelica Rose Flatt.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. Kendall Jones officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Tuesday to service time.
