OBITUARY: Thomas "T.J." McVay

Thomas "T.J." McVay, 83 of Raleigh, passed away 1:04 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, in the Walbash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi.

He was born on Oct. 27, 1931, in Saline County to the late Raymond and Lucille (Cowsert) McVay. T.J. was the owner operator of the McVay's Town & Country Market In Raleigh.

He is survived by his son Jeff (Susan) McVay; three grandchildren, Amber McVay, Amanda Belt and Amy Jo Bethel; five great-grandchildren, Isaac Newton, Brett Winters, Jayden King, Emma King and Ansely Belt; four sisters, Margene Martin, Linda Ragen, Lou Stewart and Fonda Parker.

T.J. was preceded by his parents and a daughter, Rebecca Lynn McVay King. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, at the Raleigh Masonic Cemetery. Chuck Belt will officiate with burial in the Raleigh Masonic Cemetery. Memorials to the Raleigh Masonic Cemetery.
