OBITUARY: Marjorie L. Fromm
Marjorie L. "Margie" Fromm, age 72 of Ridgway died peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2014, in the Southgate Nursing Center in Metropolis surrounded by her family.
Margie was born near New Haven on Oct. 10, 1941, to the late Lucian and Norma (Williams) Pyle. On Jan. 11, 1975, she was married to Dave Fromm who survives. Margie was a member of the St. Kateri Catholic Church, Ridgway American Legion Auxiliary and the Altar Society. She worked for 28 years in the Ridgway School and Gallatin County School as a cook before retiring. She also ran a catering business with her husband for many years and cleaned houses. She loved to paint ceramics and wood. She was very active in the Democrat Party and had been a Precinct committee person. She loved to be around her friends and family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed.
Margie is survived by her husband, David Fromm; a son, Davey Fromm and companion Linzi Baumann of Evansville, Ind.; daughters, Jackie (Danny) Simmons of Metropolis and Shelly Sanders of Columbia, Mo.; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Sara and Samantha; and three great-grandchildren, Summer, Brodie and Hallee Bree; a sister, Louise Melton of New Haven and was preceded in death by two brothers, Jame and Charles Pyle and a sister, Alma McDaniel.
Visitation for Margie will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway where the prayer service will start at 5 p.m. Her funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at the St. Patrick's Church near Ridgway with the Rev. Steven Beatty celebrating. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Ridgway.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the St. Kateri Church building fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
