Prep Volleyball: Eldorado, Harrisburg drop matches late last week

The Eldorado High School volleyball team lost in three sets to Johnston City late last week, winning the first match 25-15, then dropping straight sets 25-22 and 25-15.

Dresdyn Bramlet was 12-for-12 on sets with 21 spikes and six kills. Bramlet was 7-for-9 on serves with seven points, one ace with four blocks, one kill and 24 digs.

Mary Mitchell was 52-for-75 on sets with seven spikes and one kill, while going 11-for-14 on serves with 13 points, three aces and 17 digs.

Abby Steed was 5-for-5 on sets with 28 spikes and five kills, while going 12-for-13 on serves with 13 points, five aces, five blocks, three kills and 39 digs.

Lacy Jo Bradley had 15 spikes, three kills and 10 digs, while Brooklyn Peavler was 14-for-14 on serves with 14 points, three aces and eight digs.

Harrisburg lost in three sets to Herrin late last week as well.

The Bulldogs won the first set 28-26 and then lost 25-16 and 25-22.

Bryleigh Buchanan and Matty Hawkins both had two blocks and three kills. Whitney Younger had two kills of her own. Audree Morecraft had four kills and played great defense. Haley Price came up big with great passing for the Bulldogs.
