OBITUARY: Mary Louise Douglas Brimm

Mary Louise Douglas Brimm, 75 of Carrier Mills, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, at her residence.

Mary was born on Feb. 22, 1939, in Harrisburg to the late J.D. and Mary (Gates) Douglas. On July 29, 1961, she married Donald W. Brimm and he survives.

Mary was a former member of the Saline County Genealogical Society. Mary was an licensed practical nurse and later in life she was a homemaker.

Mary is survived by her husband, Donald W. Brimm of Carrier Mills; son, Jason W. Brimm of Marion; son, Joshua D. Brimm of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Carson Nichole Brimm of Harrisburg, Abigayle "Abby" Brimm of Harrisburg and Dalton Isaiah Brimm of Harrisburg; brother, Louie (Linda) Douglas of Harrisburg; brother, Glendall (Myrna) Douglas of Ocean Springs, Miss.; sister, Joann (Jerry) Vinyard of Rosiclare; sister, Carolyn (Carrol) Collins of Kentucky; sister, Peggy Hargrave of Harrisburg; brother, Stanley (Cindy) Douglas of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Barbara Nell Smith and Dorris Jean McDowell.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Scott Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to service time Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at Reed Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery.
