Roman Moore pleads not guilty to grocery store robbery

A Harrisburg man charged with holding up a Marion grocery this month pleaded not guilty Monday in Williamson County court.

Roman M. Moore, 20, waived a preliminary hearing and requested a jury trial on a charge of armed robbery. A pre-trial is set for Oct. 20.

Moore is accused of using a handgun to rob Small's Meat Store, 1005 E. Main St., in Marion on Sept. 6. He was arrested two days later at his home without incident.

Marion police at the time credited surveillance equipment at the grocery for information that led to Moore's arrest.

Moore is being held at the Williamson County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail for the Class X felony charge. If convicted, he could face up to 30 years in prison.
