GOLF: Harrisburg tops DHS boys, Lady Panthers win a pair
Harrisburg's Ryan Williams shot a nine-hole total of 36 to lead the Bulldogs to a 156-194 win over Du Quoin on Tuesday at Red Hawk Golf Course in Tamaroa.
The Bulldogs had five players shoot 42 or better including Ben Fowler (38), Garrett Jenkins (41), Bryce Beal (41) and Patrick Bittle (42).
Jacob Valier and Noah Campbell both shot 47 to lead the Indians. John Monroe (49), Ethan Keller (51), Grant Woodside (57) and Noah James (72) also competed for Du Quoin.
The Indians travel to the Gambit Golf Course in Vienna on Wednesday to take on Goreville.

Also at Red Hawk on Monday, Pinckneyville's girls knocked off Centralia and Mt. Vernon with a four-person score of 205. Ellie Carlson shot a 42 to lead the Lady Panthers.
Trista Ogilvie (46), Erica Crews (57) and Taylor Wildermuth (60) also competed for PCHS.
Du Quoin's Marisa Ferguson shot a 41 as an individual and finished second overall.
Pinckneyville's girls host Chester on Friday at Red Hawk, Du Quoin's girls are at Gambit Golf Course in Vienna on Wednesday.
<span style="text-decoration: underline;">Panthers win tri-match with DHS, Sparta</span>
Pinckneyville finished six strokes ahead of Sparta to claim a pair of wins at Monday's golf match at Red Hawk, shooting 170 behind medalist Jordan Grissom's 40.
Grant Thompson (42), Alec Brand (44) and Lee Wittenauer (44) rounded out the Panthers' team score.
Du Quoin was led by Noah Campbell's 43, and Jacob Valier (47), John Monroe (49) and Ethan Keller (50) completed their total of 189, good for third place.
The Panthers travel to Anna on Wednesday to meet the Wildcats and Chester.
