Prep Boys Golf: Bulldog boys beat Du Quoin

The Harrisburg High School boys golf team knocked off Du Quoin 156-189.

Ryan Williams took medalist honors for the Bulldogs, firing a 36, while Ben Fowler wasn't too far off the pace with a 38. Garrett Jenkins and Bryce Beal each shot a 41, while Patrick Bittle carded a 42. Brady Hodson finished with a 70 for the Bulldogs.

"Our boys did well today," head coach Michael Tison said. "Red Hawk is a difficult course and (assistant coach) Kenny Jenkins did a good job working with the team to get them ready. Ryan continues his excellent play and Fowler bounced back nicely from his round (Monday) at West Frankfort.

EHS boys fall to Hamilton Co.

ELDORADO - Jack Mings fired a 42, including a double eagle on No.14 for Eldorado in a 159-193 loss to Hamilton County Tuesday.

Braydon Van Zant finished with a 48 for the Eagles, while John Amberger shot a 50. Josh Rice added a 53, while Sam Cooker carded a 55 and Hunter Mace finished with a 70.

Landon Vaughn took medalist honors for the Foxes with a 36.
