Roman Moore could face 30 years for robbery
A Harrisburg man could face up to 30 years in prison if convicted of armed robbery, he was told during a first appearance in Williamson County court on Tuesday.
Roman M. Moore, 20, appeared before Judge John Speroni, who ordered Moore held on $10,000 cash bail in connection to the Class X felony. He is being held at the Williamson County Jail.
Moore is accused of using a handgun to rob Small's Meat Store, 1005 E. Main St., in Marion on Saturday. He was arrested Monday at his home without incident.
State's Attorney Brandon Zanotti said a weapon has not been recovered. Zanotti and Assistant State's Attorney Sean de Mello recommended the bail amount.
Speroni scheduled a preliminary hearing for Sept. 29 at 1:15 p.m. Moore informed the judge he intends to hire an attorney.
