OBITUARY: Anita Gale Heck-Libbie
Anita Gale Heck-Libbie, 56, resident of Des Moines, Iowa, formally of Eldorado, passed away at 4:05 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2014, in Iowa after an illness.
Anita was born Feb. 11, 1958, in Eldorado to the late Gene and Marilou (Gulley) Heck of Eldorado, who survives. She was a 1976 graduate of Eldorado High School. On Feb. 27, 1979, at Wesley Chapel Church, she married John Libbie who survives. A design school graduate, she most enjoyed floral designing. She later trained in office and administration and worked in the optometry practice. She was currently employed at Vision Clinic in Des Moines. Anita loved all dogs and was devoted to her retired racing greyhounds, whom she referred to as "My Kids." She also loved her parakeet, Thelma.
In addition to her husband and mother Anita is survived by a sister; Lou Gene Dodd of Eldorado; a niece, Amy Lynn Dodd of Eldorado; a great-niece, Brooksy Ty Fox of Eldorado; and several cousins and friends.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Orvil and Addie Heck; maternal grandparents, Everett and Martha Gulley; and a brother-in-law, Mike Dodd.
