OBITUARY: Connie Y. Brummett

Connie Y. Brummett, age 63 of Morganfield, Ky., died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, Ky.

She was a graduate of Equality High School in 1968. She was a charter member of Grove Center Faith Chapel Church and was very involved with her church. She enjoyed singing. She sang for the Voice of Calvary and Higher Ground for many years. She hosted the Gospel Radio Show on WMSK.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Elsie Roe; and brother, Rickie Roe.

Survivors include her daughter, Misty Howton of Morganfield, Ky., cousins, uncles and aunts.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, Ky. The Rev. Billy McKendree and Brother Jeff Paris will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellow Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Grove Center Faith Chapel.
