OBITUARY: Lucille Bullock

Lucille Bullock, 103 of Eldorado, went to be with Lord of Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014.

For Lucille's family and friends, to know her was to love her. When she smiled, it was impossible to not smile back. She had the heart of a true servant. Throughout her life she gladly served her family, friends and her Lord and Savior.

She was born on Nov. 13, 1910, in Woodlawn, to the late William and Lena (Shaffer) Filberth. She married Dr. Aaron Bullock and he preceded her in death on March 22, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her three brothers: Glen and the Rev. Earnest Filberth; a half brother, John Connors; and a grandson, Michael Ralston.

Lucille was thrilled when she became a great-great-grandmother as that made her the oldest of a five generation family. Lucille was a loving housewife and mother, she loved camping, fishing, traveling and going to church. She was a long time member of the Eldorado Gospel Assembly Church.

Surviving family members include one daughter: Lynda Kay (Gary) Ralston of Herod; three grandchildren: Tawana (Greg) Mullet of New Athens, Gary (Joan) Ralston and Aaron Shane (Daphine) Ralston, both of Eldorado; eight great-grandchildren: Ben Mullet, Brittney Ralston, Ryan Ralston, Shanica Ralston and Colby Ralston; and two great-stepgrandchildren, Austin and Eli Hall; three great-great-grandchildren: Eran King, Eathan and Erickerson Ralston. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at the Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, at the funeral home with the Rev. L D Jolly officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
