Four hurt in Tuesday crash

Four were injured in a two-vehicle collision on state Route 13 at Carrier Mills Road 4:50 p.m. Tuesday.

Bradford T. Cope, 37, Harrisburg, was driving east on state Route 13 in a 2006 Acura, when a 2002 Pontiac van driven on Carrier Mills Road by Natashia M. Ortiz, 36, Carrier Mills, failed to stop at the intersection, striking Cope's vehicle, according to a release from the Saline County Sheriff's Office.

Cope, Ortiz and two passengers in Ortiz' vehicle - unnamed in the release - were taken to Harrisburg Medical Center by Saline County EMS.

Sheriff Keith Brown said it was his understanding none of the injuries were severe.

Two traffic signs were knocked to the ground.

The sheriff's office continues to investigate the crash.

Ortiz was cited on a charge of failure to yield to avoid an accident.

Carrier Mills Police Department and Winters Towing of Harrisburg assisted.
