OBITUARY: Leah Suzanne '"Suzy" Wise

Leah Suzanne "Suzy" Wise, 62 formerly of Harrisburg, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014, after bravely battling cancer for three years.

Her devoted companion, significant other and caretaker Larry Pauley was with her at their home in Princeton, Ind. Leah was born on April 24, 1951, to Roy (deceased) and Yvonne Wise in Harrisburg.

She is survived by her daughter, Heather Piermattei, son-in-law, Preston, and granddaughter, McKenzie Ryan, all of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; her mother, Yvonne Wise, sister, Terri Wise Bischoff and brother in-law, Brad, all of Evansville, Ind.; her brother, Rod Wise and sister in-law Stacy of Arlington, Texas; along with nieces and nephews.

Leah was retired from the University of Southern Indiana where she worked as a senior administrative associate in the President's Office. She was a volunteer harp therapist with Deaconess Hospice, a talented musician, an avid reader, pet lover and tea connoisseur. She will be greatly missed by all who love her − family and friends.

Leah requested in lieu of a funeral service and burial, to be cremated and have a memorial for her with family and friends at a later date.
