OBITUARY: Forrest B. "Sug" McDonald
Forrest B. "Sug" McDonald, 50 of Carrier Mills, passed away 6 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at his residence.
He was born March 2, 1963, in Pontiac the son of Forrest McDonald and Linda Smock Milligan. He married Cathy "Cat" Hopper on Aug. 24, 2005, and she survives.
Sug was a member of Herod Springs Baptist Church where he was saved and baptized. He had been a coal miner but his true passion was music. He and his wife lived in Memphis for 11 years where he performed regularly on Memphis' famed Beale Street. He loved his animals, the great outdoors and his Harley. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by His father Forrest McDonald of Brookport; his mother Linda Milligan of Harrisburg; his wife Cathy of Carrier Mills; one stepson Robert and Angela Neel of Carrier Mills; one brother, Johnny McDonald of Harrisburg; two sisters, Verlinda Bondman and Tina Hreco both of Harrisburg; and one grandchild, Chandler Glanc of Carrier Mills.
He was preceded in death by a brother Victor McDonald.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home with the Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial with military rights by the Harrisburg and Carrier Mills American Legions will follow at Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home.
