Du Quoin Halloween parade and trick or treating dates set

The Du Quoin City Council Monday night approved the parade permit for the 2015 Beta Sigma Phi Halloween parade.

The parade will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 29 and will start from the Banterra Bank parking lot at the corner of West Main and North Hickory Streets.

Trick or Treating Friday, Oct. 30

Trick or treating in Du Quoin will be one night only on Friday, Oct. 30 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for children ages 12 and under in costume.

If you plan to hand out candy to children, please turn on your porch or yard light.
