OBITUARY: Norma Beatrice Rodgers
Norma Beatrice Rodgers, 81 of Wyoming, passed away at 12:34 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born July 2, 1932, in Creve Coeur, Mo., to Pete and Flossie (Powell) Craig, she married Willis Tyler in Toulon. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Gary (Marcella) Rodgers of Creve Coeur, Robert Rodgers of Topeka, and James (Debra) Rodgers of Fayetteville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas (Judy) Craig of Antigo, Wis., and William (Sue) Craig of Wixom, Mich.; two sisters, Pat (Otto) Massey of St. Cloud, Fla., and Elizabeth (Gary) Scharf of Gregory, Mich.
She was preceded in death by parents and one grandson.
Norma was a cook at various restaurants in East Peoria, later working as a cook at Southern Illinois University.
She liked to sew and travel in their RV, but her greatest joy was her family.
Her graveside service will be noon Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Spring Hill Cemetery in Stonefort. Cremation rites have been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Home & Crematory in Pekin.
