Helen Faye Stroud of Shawneetown

Helen Faye Stroud, 73, of Shawneetown passed away Feb. 2, 2026, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.

Survivors include her children, Harry Lee Barnes, Linda Faye Franks, Henry Allen Barnes and Kristy Ann Barnes; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and siblings Martha Jean Mattews, Charles Eugene Johnson, Tony Lee Johnson, Ronald Wayne Johnson and Johnny Ray Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Edgar Stroud and parents, John Henry Johnson and Wanda Bernice Kitchens.

A memorial visitation was held Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at Hardin County Funeral Service in Rosiclare.
