Barbara Borders

HARRISBURG - Barbara Borders, 85, passed away at 2:21 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at her residence.

She was born May 3, 1931, in Eldorado to Vernon and Bessie (Smith) Seten. On Aug. 26, 1948, she married Bill E. Borders, and he preceded her in death Jan. 24, 2014.

Barbara was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Borders and wife Kimberly of Marion and Greg Borders and wife Donna of Harrisburg; daughter, Karen Borders of Texas; grandchildren, Julie, Jada, Jared, Ashley, Amy, Justin, Brian and Brandi; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bill.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, in Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with the Rev. Ron Reed officiating. Burial followed in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation was from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
