Vicky L. Nicholson

Vicky L. Nicholson, age 62, of New Burnside passed away at 12:50am on Sunday March 13, 2016 in the St Mary Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

Vicky was born on November 02, 1953, in Texas to Dean and Louise Kelley Nicholson. She was a Baptist by faith and was a member and treasurer of the Ozark Baptist Church. She worked for a time as a secretary for McKinley Avenue Baptist Church in Harrisburg. Vicky retired from the United States Forestry Service and worked around the country while employed by the forestry service. Vicky was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. Go Cards!

Vicky is survived by her parents Dean and Louise Nicholson of New Burnside. Two sisters: Kim and David Tate of Harrisburg and Kay and Troy Brown of Ridgway. Nieces and Nephews: Jessica and Tyrone Wood, Kelley and Ryan Sander, Jordon Rister and Michaela, Adam Tate and Kalyn Tate. Great Nieces and Nephews: Savannah Hudson, Bennett Wood, Kanyon & Kayla Rister, Reuben Sander, and Henry Tate.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm Wednesday March 16, 2016 at the Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Burial will be private at the Simmons Cemetery with the Rev. David Webb officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the Ozark Baptist Church or to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
