Shirley Rose Baur, 83, Carrier Mills

Shirley Rose Baur, age 83, resident of Carrier Mills passed away Tuesday-February 23, 2016 at 12:53 p.m. in the Harrisburg Medical Center.

She was born on January 15, 1933 in Carrier Mills to the late Myrel Cozart and Grace (Brothers) Cozart.

Shirley was married to Roy Baur on May 3, 1969 and he survives.

She was a member of the South America Baptist Church and later became a member of the First Baptist Church both in Carrier Mills. She worked as a nurses aide in her earlier years.

She is survived by her husband; Roy Baur of Carrier Mills, daughter; Regina (Larry) McMurphy LoBue of Minooka, IL., step-daughter; Diane McKeebe of Carrier Mills, IL step-son; James (Linda) Baur of Orland Hills, IL step-daughter; Carol (Tony) Pellegrino of Arizona, Granddaughter; Alyssa Lauren Jensen and brother; Richard (Shirley) Cozart of Carrier Mills.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Marla McMurphy.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday-February 27, 2016 at the Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Rev. Harl Cockrum will officiate the service and burial will be in the Salem cemetery in Carrier Mills.

In lieu of flowers, the preferred choice of remembrance would be memorials to the South America Cemetery Fund in her memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
