Myra Jean Miller, 79, Elkhart, IN

Myra Jean Miller. age 79, of Elkhart, Indiana and a former Saline County resident, passed away at 7:35am Monday February 15, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Elkhart.

Myra was born on May 26, 1936 in Harrisburg, Illinois to the late Ebb Wiley and Mary (Whiteside) Burnam . Myra graduated from Harrisburg Township High School and she married James Miller on July 30, 1955 in Harrisburg, Illinois and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2000. Myra and Jim were long time owners of " The Army Store" in Elkhart, IN. Myra loved sewing, crossword puzzles, reading , cooking and collecting many different things.

Myra is survived by one daughter and son in law and one son, Mary Susan (Terry) Sanders of Elkhart and James Michael Miller, also of Elkhart; also surviving are one granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Sanders of Elkhart and 2 brothers, Donald Burnam and David Burnam. Sisters in law, Christine (Tony) King, and Coren Miller of Harrisburg. She is also survived by several nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am Saturday February 20, 2016 at the Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Stan Irvin officiating with burial in the Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills. Friends may call at Absher-Nicholson after 10am on Saturday.
