Donald Gene Tanner, 84, Harrisburg

Donald Gene Tanner 84 of Harrisburg passed away December 29, 2015 at Herrin Hospital. He was born January 10, 1931 in Carrier Mills, the son of Orlie and Eva McNew Tanner. He was married to the former Barbara Enz who survives. He was a member of New Castle Baptist Church and sold was an insurance agent for many years.

Surviving are his wife Barbara, 1 son Greg Tanner of Harrisburg, 2 daughters Debbie and John Zeiglar of Marion and<span> Sonja and Vic Sellers of Harrisburg.</span> and 1 brother Jim Tanner of Peoria, 8 grandchildren Crystal and Dave Podjaski, Katie and Jon Powell, Heather Zeiglar,Trent and Esther Sellers, Kiley and Zach Hileman, Case and Sam Tanner and Jacob Rushing and 8 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son Gary Tanner and 1 daughter Anita Rushing.

Memorial services will be 3:30 PM Sunday, January 3, 2016 at the New Castle Baptist Church in Harrisburg with the Rev. Jim Williams officiating.
