Prep Hoops: That's A Sweep
Much like Dorothy, there was no place like home for the Eldorado High School boys' basketball team.
After four games at the Vienna Classic to start the season, followed by three more on the road, the Eagles finally found some comfort at Duff-Kingston Gymnasium in a 68-46 rout over Johnston City Friday night at home.
Four Eagles finished in double figures as Clay Boulds led the charge with 24 points, while Ethan and Adam Partridge each netted 11 points and Adam Ninness tacked on 10 points in the win.
Braden Attebury chipped in with six points, while Max Kasiar finished with four points and Stanton Hathaway had a bucket for the Eagles.
"Clay really worked hard in the post all night," Eldorado head coach Josh Bradley said. "He was calling for the ball and went strong all night. Our guards did a good job of finding the open guy and not being selfish. We played for each other and I thought it was a good team effort. Adam (Ninness) and Adam (Partridge) gave us good minutes off the bench."
In addition to his game-high 24 points, Boulds had a double-double with 10 rebounds, while Ninness came away with six steals in the Black Diamond Conference East showdown and Kasiar had five assists.

Adam Partridge and Ninness each added eight points, while Jon Meredith scored seven points. Boulds chipped in with six points and Jacob Traxler had a bucket.
Ethan Partridge had 11 rebounds, while Kasiar had five assists Ninness notched his second straight game with a pair of 3-pointers.
"We had three starters in early foul trouble, but we never really panicked. We got a little frustrated, but kept our composure and played pretty well down the stretch," Bradley said.
Eldorado has now won seven of its last eight games and Bradley is pleased with the state of the program.
"We've only had one home and our junior varsity team is 5-0, so I feel like this is a pretty good start all the way around for our program."
