Betty J. Reed, 85, Eldorado

Betty J. Reed, 85, of Eldorado, died December 7, 2015 in Harrisburg.

Betty was born in Inglefield, IN on May 24, 1930 to the late Howard and Elnora (Gerhardt) Browning. She was a real estate agent for many years and was a member of the Du Quoin Gospel Assembly Church.

Surviving are her children: Bill (Jing) Reed of Wabash, IN, Mike (Mary) Reed of Harrisburg and David (Pat) Reed of Eldorado. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Gloria Luton.

Funeral services will precede burial at 11:00 AM at the Centenary Methodist Church. Visitation will be at the church starting at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Centenary Methodist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois in her memory.
