Charles Bennie Baird, 81, Eldorado

Charles Bennie Baird, 81, of Eldorado, died, Thursday November

26, 2015 in Eldorado.

He was born in Texas City on September 5, 1934 to the late John O.

and Audrey (Crane) Baird. He worked as a heavy equipment

operator in the Peabody Coal Company. He was a member of the

UMWA and he enjoyed horse shows and was a horse lover all of his

life.

On December 31, 1979 he married the former Wilmetta Morris and

she survives in Eldorado. He is also survived by his children: Lisa

(Fiance- James Bedinger) of Springfield and Susan Grace of

Eldorado. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Audra Ratliff

of Eldorado and Cody Cusic of Eldorado and 3 step grandchildren:

Mason, Adam and Laura Grace, and a great grandson Brantley

Ratliff. Also surviving are 3 brothers: Kent (Barbara) Baird of

Eldorado, Keith (Shelia) Baird of Eldorado and Max (Kathy) Baird

of Sheboygan, WI.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the

Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado at 1:00 PM. Rev. Ownly

Williams officiating. Burial will be in Reid Cemetery near

Shawneetown. Visitation will be on Saturday at the funeral home

from 10:00 AM until service time of 1:00 PM.

Memorials in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's

association and can be left at the funeral home.
