Alumni Corner: A weekly review of local athletes in college

<span class="s1">Capel Henshaw - </span>Lewis University

<span class="s1">Henshaw drilled a 3-pointer from the top of the key with 38 seconds left, cutting the deficit to 81-80, helping Lewis to a thrilling 85-84 win over Saginaw Valley St. Saturday night. Henshaw finished with just three points, grabbed four rebounds and had two assists in 26 minutes.</span>

<span class="s1">Tyler Smithpeters - SIU</span>

<span class="s1">Smithpeters scored six points on 2-of-5 shooting from the field and 2-of-3 from 3-point range as the Salukis rallied from an 18-point second half deficit to beat Sam Houston State 86-81 in overtime Saturday.</span>

<span class="s1">Smithpeters got the start and had two assists and one steal in 21 minutes of action for the Dawgs.</span>

<span class="s1">Will Carmickle - Morthland</span>

<span class="s1">Carmickle scored 11 points returning from a knee injury as Morthland knocked off Huntington 90-77 Saturday. </span>

<span class="s1">Carmickle also grabbed nine rebounds, six on the defensive end, playing 27 minutes for the Patriots.</span>
