Roy Thomas "Pete" Crider, age 63, formerly a resident of Pekin, IL passed away at 7:10 am on Thursday, November 12th, 2015 at his home in Eldorado, IL.

He was born on October 29th, 1952 in Pekin, IL the son of Thomas & Dorothy Crider. He worked as a laborer.

He was preceded in death by both parents and a stepbrother Brian K. Harris.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Crider, 3 sons: Troy (wife Martha) Crider of Eldorado, IL; Roy Thomas Mathews of Lecanto, FL; and James Kenneth Mathews of Elizabethtown, IL; a stepmother Betty Crider of McLeansboro; a stepson Randy Moore of Toledo, OH; 2 daughters: Crystal (husband Brian) Berkel of Sandoval, IL; and Dorothy Mae Mathews of Eldorado, IL; a stepdaughter Victoria Lynn George of Flordia, a brother Tommy Crider of Dahlgren, IL; 2 sisters: Wanda Caldwell of Benton, IL and Brenda Tarrence of Indiana; several grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Also surviving are 3 stepbrothers: Donald Dean Harris of Eldorado, Douglas Hudson of Galatia, IL; Raymond Hudson of McLeansboro, IL; and 3 stepsisters: Kim Russell of Walpole, IL; Geri Renee Hudson of McLeansboro, IL; and Bonnie Gail Harris of Harrisburg, IL.

Funeral services for Roy Thomas "Pete" Crider will be held on Sunday, November 15th, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro, IL with Rev. Fred Wilson officiating. Burial will be at the Smith Cemetery near Dale, IL. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Saturday, November 14th, 2015 at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.

Memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses and will be accepted at the Gholson Funeral Home which is in charge of all the arrangements.
