Prep Volleyball: EHS falls in three sets to Indians

The Eldorado High School volleyball team lost in three sets to Johnston City late last week as the Indians rallied to win the final two sets.

Eldorado won the first 25-17 and then fell 25-18 and 25-16.

Mary Mitchell was 5-for-5 on sets and 13-for-16 on spikes with one kill. Mitchell went 6-for-7 on serves with six points, one block and 18 digs.

Rachel Durham was 45-for-48 on sets and 2-for-3 on sets, Durham went 17-for-17 on serves with 18 points, one ace and 11 digs.

Brooklynn Peavler finished 5-for-5 on sets and 4-for-5 on spikes, while going 9-for-10 on serves with one ace and 15 digs.

Abby Steed was 8-for-8 on sets and 27-for-30 on spikes, while finishing with four kills. The senior also went 10-for-10 at the line with 10 points, one ace and four blocks, two kills and 15 digs.

Lexi Clore was 1-for-1 on sets with six spikes and one kill. Clore was 10-for-10 at the line with 10 points and 18 digs.

Kaitlyn McGuire was 1-for-2 on spikes and 4-for-5 on serves with six points and 13 digs, while Jordan Bailey went 4-for-4 on sets and 6-for-6 on spikes to finish with four digs.

Whitney McGuire was 1-for-1 on sets and 7-for-9 on spikes and finished with two kills.

Eldorado will hold its Senior Night Tuesday at home against Sesser-Valier.
