VOLLEYBALL: Lady Panthers keep pace atop Mississippi Division with win over Carterville

The Lady Panthers kept pace with the other two teams locked in a first-place tie of the Southern Illinois River-to-River Conference Mississippi Division race on Tuesday night, knocking of Carterville at home 25-21, 25-18.

Sophie Keith led Pinckneyville with 5 kills and 3 blocks, Emma Banach added 4 kills and led digs with 8. Mady Epplin had 6 digs. Mayci Doerflein finished with a team-high 13 assists.

At 4-1, the Lady Panthers are tied with Anna-Jonesboro and Nashville for the Mississippi Division lead. PCHS travels to Sparta on Thursday.
