Prep Football: High Five

Eldorado had little trouble with its Black Diamond Conference rival Hamilton County, rolling up 361 total yards on a 48-0 win Friday night on the road.

As good as the Eagles offense was, the defense was just as stout, holding Hamilton County to just 80 total yards, 48 of which came on the ground, while the Foxes had just five first downs. Eldorado was 8-for-10 on third down conversions as they kept Hamilton County off the scoreboard.

The Eagles ran their record to a perfect 5-0 and wasted little time lighting up the scoreboard as they posted a pair of first quarter scores when Isaac Bethel caught a 40-yard pass from Adam Ninness and late Payton Price found pay dirt from 77 yards out.

Eldorado poured it on in the second quarter, scoring 24 unanswered points, the first coming from senior fullback Alex Molinarolo, who scored from eight yards out.

Later, Isaac Bethel caught a 31-yard pass from Max Kaiser and Woolcott ended the first half with a 10-yard run to put Eldorado up 32-0 at halftime.

In the third quarter, Connor Watt put the continuous clock into motion with a 40-yard run that ultimately put the game away.

Price, aside from his one score, led the ground game for Eldorado with 98 yards on three carries. Woolcott had 49 yards on six carries and a score, while Watt (40 yards) and Molinarolo (35 yards) also had a score.

The win was the fifth straight for Eldorado, matching its streak of seven straight dating back to the 2013 season when the Eagles won its first seven in a row, before a Week 8 loss at home to Chester.
