Prep Volleyball: Eagles go 1-3 at Massac Co.

METROPOLIS - The Eldorado volleyball team wrapped up its weekend play at the Massac County Invite finishing 1-3, posting a straight set (25-18, 25-15) win over Webber Township and posted losses to Massac County, Centralia and Cobden.
On the day, Rachel Dunham went 53-for-57 on sets with 16 spikes, four kills and was 22-for-25 on serves with 25 points, two aces and 33 digs.
Brooklynn Peavler was 8-for-9 on sets with 24 spikes and two kills, while going 29-for-29 on serves with 29 points, three aces and 32 digs.
Abby Steed, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, went 21-for-21 on sets and was 71-for-85 on spikes and had 22 kills. Steed finished 26-for-26 on serves with 23 points, three aces, eight blocks and 48 digs.
Lexi Clore was 3-for-3 on sets and 2-for-2 on spikes with one kill, while going 12-for-13 from the line with 14 points and 45 digs.
Jordan Bailey was 11-for-12 on sets with 14 spikes and three kills. Bailey was also 14-for-15 on serves with 13 points and 27 digs, while Whitney McGuire was 7-for-7 on sets and 12-for-13 on spikes with 13 serving points, one ace and nine digs.
Madison Newton had a spike, an ace and was four-for-five on serves with five points. Samantha Boulds was 2-for-2 on serves with three points, one ace and one dig.
Kaitlyn Etienne had 16 digs and Karli Etienne had 15 digs, while April Summers went 2-for-2 on spikes with one kill and seven-for-seven on serves with seven points, two aces and seven digs. Tia Briddick finished with two digs.
Eldorado was slated to play at Gallatin County Monday night and will host Carmi-White County tonight (Tuesday) at Duff-Kingston Gymnasium.
