MS Softball: Harrisburg shuts down Eldorado in season finale
The Harrisburg Middle School softball team closed out the regular season with a 16-0 win over Eldorado.
Lydia Miller picked up the win in the circle and helped pace the Bulldog offense at the plate. Miller worked four innings, allowing just one hit, while striking out 10 and walking two.
At the dish, Miller, along with Makayla Payne each had three hits, while Essence Sanders, Mya King, Lexi Williams, Hannah Reid, Riley Wright and Hannah DeNeal all hit safely.
Trinity Goolsby had the lone hit for EMS, while she also took the loss, allowing 16 runs (seven earned) on 10 hits, while striking out five and walking seven.
Harrisburg 31-6 plays in the Massac County regional tonight (Wednesday) at 4 p.m. against Massac County.
