Prep Golf Roundup, Eldorado boys, girls; HHS girls all see action on links
The Eldorado High School boys' golf team lost in triangular action Wednesday at Saline County Country Club as West Frankfort prevailed with a 165, beating out Norris City-Omaha-Enfield (192) and Eldorado (197).
For the Eagles, Jack Mings finished with a 46, wahile Jon Amberger added a 48. Ben Byrd shot a 51, while Ely Boulds had a 52, joining Sam Coker, who also shot a 52. Josh Rice had a 62 and Marvel had a 68.
EHS improves at Herrin
Jacqlyn Artman fired a seasons-best 44, going low for Eldorado as they shot a 199 at Pine Lakes Golf Course in Herrin Wednesday.
They were beat out by the host Tigers, who shot a 176, behind Medalist's Macey Mooneyham's 41 and Zeigler-Royalton finished with a 214.
Kileah Lowery carded a 48, while Keely Tate added a 53 and Olivia Parker finished with a 54. Derian Corn added a 55 and Ashlyn Sizemore had a 56.

HHS girls fall to Marion
HARRISBURG - The Harrisburg High School girls' golf team fell to Marion 189-225 Tuesday. Alexa Burtis shot the low round for the Bulldogs, carding a 45, while Skylar Street shot a 50. Rounding out the four-person scoring was Alli Ferrell (60) and Annabella Robinson (70).
Marion's Macy Kuhnke was medalist with a 40.
