Sarah T. Porter

Sarah T. Porter, 93 of Broughton, died Sunday, September 13, 2015 in Marion.

Sarah was born in Walpole on January 13, 1922 to the late John N. and Linnie (Pribble) Ellis. She was a member of the Broughton Baptist Church and she was a Home Maker. On July 23, 1938 she married R. Wayne Porter and he preceded her in death on March 1, 2002.

She is survived by her daughters: Carolyn (Robert) Boyett of Du Quoin and Connie (Gary) Sutton of Marion. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Shawn (Dena) Boyett, Shane Boyett, Sidney Boyett, Leigh (Shawn) Poynor, Mark (Marti) Sutton, Doug (Tiana) Sutton, Kris (Kotomi) Sutton and Beth (Randy) Steinmetz. Also surviving are 10 great grandchildren: Jon Bean, Kasey Bean, Shawna Poynor, Acadia Sutton, Ian Sutton, Milo Sutton, Kari Jenson, Kassie Boyett, Emily Boyett and Jacob Boyett and 3 Great-great grandchildren: Kayleigh Bean, McKenna Bowen and Brendon Tripp. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

As per her wishes she has been cremated and a family memorial will be held.
